No 'shrimps on the barbie' just yet for Manny.
After a six-hour flight from his hometown of General Santos City straight to Brisbane, Australia for his upcoming WBO welterweight title defense against Jeff Horn, Manny Pacquiao, his wife Jinkee, and the rest of the team were welcomed at the Brisbane Hotel with a late dinner.
And while surely, the eight-division world champion will get a chance to sample some of the best Australian cuisine during his stay, his first meal Down Under had to be something of a reminder of home.
For his first meal in Australia consisted of Filipino favorites such as Nilaga, Grilled Pampano, and some native chicken.
Props to the Brisbane Hotel staff for whipping up a feast fit for a boxing legend like Manny.
Nothing like a taste of home to get things started.
Manny Pacquiao and Jeff Horn will battle for the WBO welterweight world championship on Sunday, July 2nd at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
