It was like a dream for Jeff Horn and his family.
Once a kid who was bullied in school, the former PE teacher is now front and center in one of the biggest fights of the year.
In just a couple of days, the proud son of Brisbane, Australia will be challenging arguably one of the best boxers of all time in Manny Pacquiao.
During the pre-fight press conference, Horn's family was sitting front row, and hearing people say that their boy could knock out one of the best in the world was definitely a source of pride.
"Jeff is going to shock Pacquiao," Horn's promoter Dean Lonergan proudly said during the presser. "He will not know what hit him."
Horn, for his part, has visualized the result in his head, time and time again.
"I see this fight with my hands raised in the end," Horn said. "I've seen it so much, I believe it."
For the Aussie's camp, this has been the narrative heading into this highly-anticipated fight. Many say that the unbeaten Horn has the ability to shock the world and take the WBO welterweight belt from the great Pinoy boxing legend.
Team Horn believes it.
Pacquiao's head coach, Freddie Roach on the other hand, begs to disagree.
"[Manny] doesn't like to predict knockouts, but I do. It's going to be short and sweet."
Glenn Rushton, Horn's trainer, believes otherwise.
"I disagree, it's going to be an all-out war between two perfectly conditioned athletes. I could see it ending in a late stoppage after a torrid war."
"It could be fight of the year." Rushton continued.
This will be the 29-year old former Olympian's first crack at world championship gold, and while he'll already be getting a big payday regardless, a win will definitely change things for Horn.
"If I win, it could set me up really good. With this prize, I'll probably buy my wife a new car and upgrade our house."
Before anything else however, "The Hornet" must first take care of business inside the ring.
