Meet Filipino-British boxer John Marvin.
At 6-foot-1, John's going to be competing in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia as a light-heavyweight.
Born in Ventnor, Isle of Wight, England to a British father and a Kapampangan mother, John began boxing when he was 17, and has gotten better ever since.
With just weeks to go before the SEA Games, John has been training hard with the Philippine Boxing team.

They even went to China for as part of training camp.
And took a trip up to Baguio City for some altitude training. (Manny Pacquiao did some training in Baguio before too!)

Aside from being the Philippines' newest boxing representative, John has also boxed for England, as he's part of the British Army...
...and even won the Armed Forces Championship. Here he is with Mom Tess and Dad John Sr.

The colors of the Philippine Flag suit him well, wouldn't you say?
Best of luck to John, the rest of the Philippine boxing team, and the rest of the Philippine contingent headed to the SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur this August!
