Jason Pagara and Arthur Villanueva will be seeing action at Pinoy Pride 42 in Cebu this September

Aside from the IBF light-flyweight headliner between Milan Melindo and Hekkie Budler, and the IBF super-flyweight title eliminator between Johnriel Casimero and Jonas Sultan, a number of exciting matchups have been added to the upcoming Pinoy Pride 42 card in Cebu this coming September.

Making his long awaited return to the ring will be number three-ranked WBO super-lightweight contender Jason "El Nino" Pagara as he faces Ghana's Richmond Djarbeng.

Pagara (40-2-0, 25 KO) will be eyeing his 14th straight victory, while former UBF African welterweight champ Djarbeng (28-3-1, 22 KO) tries for his tenth consecutive victory.

Also, a pair of Pinoy former world title challengers collide, as "King" Arthur Villanueva meets Richie "Magnum" Mepranum.

Villanueva (30-2-0, 16 KO), a former IBF super-flyweight and WBO bantamweight title contender is coming off a loss to reigning WBO bantamweight king Zolani Tete and will be looking to bounce back, while Mepranum (31-6-1, 8 KO) will look to halt a two-fight losing skid.

ALA Boxing young guns Kevin Jake "KJ" Catara, Virgel "Valiente" Vitor, Kenneth Gentallan, and Jeno Macapobre were also added to the stacked card.

Pinoy Pride 42 takes place on Saturday, September 16th at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu.
