If there was ever any doubt as to what this fight was all about, this should clear those up real quick.
Aside from lifelong bragging rights (unless, you know, they find a way to work on a rematch) and a ton of real money, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor will be fighting for money, in the form of a diamond-encrusted belt.
Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on 'The Money Belt'.
As the tweet says, that's three pounds of solid, 24-karat gold, over three thousand diamonds, six hundred sapphires and a hundred and sixty emeralds, laid out on an alligator-skin strap.
A fitting prize for the showdown of two of the most lavish personalities in the combat sports world.
The belt was unveiled during the final pre-fight press conference, by none other than World Boxing Council president Mauricio Sulaiman. The WBC is the sanctioning body for the Mayweather-McGregor superfight this weekend.
While Mayweather and McGregor have their own impressive trophy cases, the former being a multi-time boxing world champion and the latter being the Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) only simultaneous two-division world champion, the WBC Money Belt will surely be a welcome addition.
So, with just days to go before two of the most polarizing figures in sports go head to head, who do you guys think will be holding this very expensive belt after all is said and done?
