Floyd "Money" Mayweather bucked a strong start from Conor McGregor to score a tenth round TKO in their boxing megafight, Saturday evening (Sunday morning, Manila time) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor, the two-divison UFC champion came out aggressive, throwing hard shots, scoring points and pushing the five-division boxing champ back in the early rounds.
As the fight progressed, McGregor appeared to slowly lose steam, and that's when Mayweather took advantage.
Many predicted that the fight wouldn't go past the sixth round, but McGregor remained active until the seventh frame, before Mayweather took over in the succeeding rounds.
The future boxing Hall of Famer tee'd off on McGregor in the ninth round, and continued to dominate in the tenth frame, landing a number of unguarded shots, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight.
The official stoppage came in at the 1:05 mark of the tenth round.
Mayweather improves to 50-0 in his career and announces that this would be his final fight.
McGregor comes up short in his professional boxing debut.
