Pinoy Pride 42 Weigh-in Results: Melindo comes in over 108-pound limit

Reigning IBF light-flyweight champion Milan 'El Metodico' Melindo will need to weigh-in for a second time after coming in at a pound and three-forths overweight for his first title defense against Hekkie Budler at Pinoy Pride 42 this Saturday, September 16th at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City.
Melindo came in at 109.75 pounds, while South Aftrican challenger Budler came in at exactly 108-pounds during the official weigh-ins, Friday afternoon at SM City Cebu.
As of writing, Melindo has been given two hours to drop the excess weight and weigh in at the 108-pound limit. Should the Pinoy boxer fail to do so, he will be stripped of the IBF Light-Flyweight crown.
"I think he'll make it," challenger Budler said. "It's just part of the game, it can happen to anybody."
Milan Melindo successfully made weight, coming in at 108-pounds in just around an hour after his initial weigh-in. The IBF Light-Flyweight title fight will push through.
In the highly-anticipated feature IBF Super-Flyweight title elminator bout, Jonas Sultan and John Riel Casimero both made weight, with Sultan coming in at 114.75-pounds, while former world champion Casimero came in at exactly 115-pounds.
In the co-main event, Jason Pagara weighed in at 147-pounds for his ten-round contest against Kenya's James Onyango, who came in at 145-pounds.
