With title implications on the line, 'King Arthur' eager to impress in upcoming bout

On the eve of his non-title ten rounder against WBC Bantamweight world champion Luis 'Pantera' Nery in Tijuana, Mexico on Saturday, November 4th, Filipino boxer 'King' Arthur Villanueva can hardly wait to get into the ring and prove what he can do.
"Parang na excite lang ako sa laban bukas," Villanueva shared with ABS-CBN News' Steve Angeles during Friday's weigh-ins. "Bukas na malalaman kung sinong mananalo."
After two unsuccessful attempts at world title gold, the 28-year old native of Bago, Bacolod is hungrier than ever.
And while his upcoming contest against Nery was relegated to a non-title bout following the champion's failed drug test, King Arthur is treating this like another crack at gold.
After all, a win will have some serious title implications.
"Basta pinaghandahan ko. Bibigay ko lahat ng lakas ko sa laban bukas." Villanueva said.
Aside from an unbeaten Nery, Villanueva will also have to contend with a partisan pro-Mexico crowd in the champ's hometown.
The two face off at the Estadio Gasmart.
