Add 'Colonel' to Manny Pacquiao's long list of titles
World Champion. Senator. Superstar. Colonel.

Aside from being an eight-division boxing world champion, a globally-recognized celebrity, a former congressman and current senator, you can add 'Colonel' to the growing list of Manny Pacquiao's titles.

Earlier this month, the Filipino boxing legend shared in his Instagram account that he had been promoted to Colonel by the Philippine Army.

Today, I successfully defended my Commandant’s paper to promoted to a full Colonel. 🇵🇭

The 38-year old Pacquiao, who turns a year older this month, first joined the army reserve back in 2006, before being promoted to lieutenant colonel back in 2011.

To be promoted to colonel, Pacquiao needed to complete his General Command and Staff Course

"Today, I successfully defended my Commandant’s paper to promoted to a full Colonel," Pacquiao's post read.

It’s a great honor to be a part of the Command and General Staff Course Class 62. 🇵🇭
