Fortune just isn't on the side of Filipino boxer Jason 'El Nino' Pagara as of late.

After failing to make weight, Pagara was stopped in the sixth round by still-unbeaten Hiroki Okada in Tokyo, Japan, Tuesday evening.

As a result, Okada claims the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific junior welterweight title.

Pagara came in at 142-pounds two over the 140-pound limit for the title bout.

Hometown favorite Okada dominated Pagara for the most part, before getting the TKO stoppage less than a minute into the sixth round.

It was Pagara's first loss since being decisioned by Mexican Rosbel Montoya in Cebu back in 2011.

Okada, meanwhile, improves to 17-0 with 12 knockouts as he successfully snatches gold in his first attempt at a regional title.
