Filipino boxer Romero Duno's star continues to rise, as he scored another impressive knockout win, Saturday evening at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.
Duno needed only a minute to put away Mexico's Yardley Armenta Cruz via knockout.
Coming out aggressive to start the match, Duno unloaded a barrage of combinations to put Cruz down at the 1:01 minute of the match.
"Yung plano namin, tapusin in three to four rounds yung fight," Duno said via Steve Angeles of ABS-CBN. "Pag-akyat ko ng ring, medyo na-excite ako, kaya ganun nagyari. Hindi ko naman inakala na ganun lang."
And while he'll gladly take the quick win, Duno would have wanted to be able to showcase his full arsenal of skills.
"Medyo hindi ko po napakita lahat, pero blessed naman ako dahil nanalo parin ako kahit ganun."
The Cotabato-born Duno improves to 16-1 in his career with 14 wins via KO. With his last seven fights ending in stoppage wins, Duno is inching ever closer to a world title shot.
