"It's on. Can't wait to challenge Lucas Mathysse for another world title on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia," Pacquiao's tweet read.
Reports surfaced in early March that Pacquiao had already chosen to fight Mathysse, with his initial choices being between the Argentinian WBA champion and former two-division world champion Danny Garcia and the target date being June 24th.
Pacquiao is coming off a WBO welterweight world title loss to Jeff Horn in Australia back in July of 2017.
Mathysse is coming off an eighth-round KO win over Thailand's Tewa Kiram to claim the vacant WBA world title just this past January.
