Following a widely successful official launch in Manila last week, Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and Argentinian champion Lucas Mathysse headed out to the very place where they'll be locking horns: Malaysia.
Eight-division boxing champion Pacquiao will be challenging reigning WBA regular World Welterweight Champion Lucas Matthysse at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this coming Sunday, July 15th.
During the April 20 tour in Kuala Lumpur, Pacquiao and Mathysse faced off in front of the iconic Petronas Towers.
"We are excited to showcase to our Malaysian brothers a roadshow that hopes to match the excitement of the Ali-Bugner fight in 1975," Said Pacquiao, who'll also be wearing the hat of promoter, as this will be MP Promotions' first international venture.
Pacquiao and MP Promotions will be co-promoting the event entitled "Fight of Champions" alongside fellow boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.
The 39-year old Pacquiao is coming off a loss to Jeff Horn in Australia, while the 35-year old Mathysse is coming off his first world title win against Tewa Kiram in Los Angeles.
