Jerwin Ancajas and Jonas Sultan both made weight for their historic All-Filipino IBF Super Flyweight World Title bout set for Saturday evening at the Save Mart Arena in Fresno, California.
Reigning and defending champion Ancajas came in at 114.8 pounds, while challenger Sultan came in at 114.4 pounds, both clearly meeting the 115-pound super flyweight limit.
Ancajas will be looking to defend his championship for the fifth time since winning it back in 2016.
Sultan on the other hand, gets his first shot at a world championship.
This will be the first Filipino versus Filipino world title bout since Pancho Villa faced Clever Sencio for the flyweight world title back in 1925 in Manila.
Another title bout was scheduled for that same night, with WBA Super Flyweight world champion Khalid Yafai set to defend his title against David Carmona.
The fight was changed to a non-title affair however, when Carmona came in at 118.6 pounds, 3.6 pounds over the 115-pound limit. Yafai weighed in at 114.8 pounds.
