President Duterte expected to attend Pacquiao-Matthysse fight in Malaysia

President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to watch Manny Pacquiao take on Lucas Matthysse live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
With Manny Pacquiao's next bout set to take place in Malaysia, just a couple of hours away from the Philippines, a lot of Filipino fans, friends, and family are expected to be in attendance.
After touching down in Kuala Lumpur, Monday night, Pacquiao spoke with the media and said that he expects a few of his colleagues and friends as well as celebrities to be in attendance for fight day against reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion Lucas Matthysse on Sunday at the Axiata Arena.

One of the biggest names expected to be there as well, is Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, as confirmed by Ambassador of the Philippines to Malaysia, Charles Jose.
According to Jose, Duterte will be attending the fight and hopes to meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Mohamad.

"He disclosed to the media that he will be coming here to watch the fight. After that, he wants to meet with Prime Minister Mahatir," Jose told ABS-CBN News' Dyan Castillejo.
