Newly-crowned WBA (Regular) Welterweight Champion Manny Pacquiao is looking at another fight before the end of 2018.
Whether it be a rematch with Jeff Horn, or against other welterweight titans such as former sparring partner Amir Khan, Terence Crawford, or Vasyl Lomachenko, the only eight-division world champion is still unsure of who will he face next in the squared circle.
He said in an interview at the ABS-CBN Main Building after his "It's Showtime" appearance that he is looking for another match by December 2.
Despite a diagnosed 'inborn heart problem' after complaining of breathing difficulties before his championship fight with then title-holder Lucas Matthysse, he assured the public that he just underwent a routine procedure and that there's nothing to be alarmed about his condition.
"Nag-ECG kami, may nakita ang doktor. So kailangan magpatingin para sigurado na walang problema. Wala namang problema (kay Jinkee) dahil yung doktor naman pag-check up sa akin tinignan yung puso ko, wala namang problema. Healthy naman," the lawmaker said.
The 39-year old was even able to insert a cheesy pick-up line for his wife, joking about the medical procedure.
"Maganda rin yun noong tinignan yung puso ko, kung ano talaga nasa puso, si Jinkee talaga."
He was also satisfied at his MP Promotions' handling of the fight, calling the event successful in promoting and staging the fight card, which saw four championship bouts, though just like any first-time experience, more needs to be polished.
"Marami lang mga pagkukulang pero correctable naman sa susunod."
