Pinoy Pride 45: Santisima retains WBO title
Jeo Santisima remains the WBO Oriental Bantamweight Champion after a hard-fought 12 round battle

ALA Boxing standout Jeo "Santino" Santisima earned a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Mexican Uriel "Yuca" Lopez to retain his WBO Oriental Super Bantamweight World Championship in the main event of Pinoy Pride 45, Saturday evening in Cebu City.

In what can be described as an absolute war, Santisima and Lopez stood toe-to-toe and took each other's best shots for the entirety of the twelve-round contest.

Santisima unloaded a three-punch combination that rocked Reyes in the early rounds, but the challenger recovered and kept pushing forward.

Santisima and Reyes teed off on each other to the delight of the crowd present at the IEC Convention Center.

The Filipino champion would unload a barrage of punches, but the Mexican challenger would respond with a furious combination of his own.

After 12 rounds of non-stop action, it was Santisima who earned the nod on all of the judges' scorecards to earn the win and retain his WBO title.

The 22-year old pride of Aroroy, Masbate improves to 17-2 in his professional career.
