Saturday's WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Championship bout in Las Vegas is officially on, as reigning champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and challenger Adrien Broner both successfully made weight.
40-year old eight-division boxing world champion Pacquiao came it a 146-pounds, one pound below the 147-pound welterweight limit.
Broner, a 29-year old four-division boxing world champion, tipped the scales at 146.5 pounds.
This will be Pacquiao's first defense of his WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Championship.
Broner, meanwhile, will be challenging for his first world championship in the welterweight division.
The fight takes place at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday. (Sunday morning, Manila time)
Things didn't go as smoothly for the other Filipino on the PPV card, as Jhack Tepora came it 5.5-pounds over the 126-pound featherweight limit for his Interim WBA Featherweight Championship defense against Mexican Hugo Ruiz, who came in at 125-pounds.
As a result, the Filipino was stripped of his interim WBA title, and has been replaced by Mexican Alberto Guevarra.
