Eight-division boxing world champion and current reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao returns to Las Vegas for the first time in two years as he looks to defend his title for the first time against American four-division world champion Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Saturday evening (Sunday morning, Manila time).
Pacquiao, who turned 40 just last December, continues to defy age as he goes for an impressive 15th world title defense.
Many believe that even at his advanced age, Pacquiao still has what it takes to compete at the highest level of the sport.
The boxer-slash-senator is coming off one of his most impressive performances in a long while, knocking out Argentinian brawler Lucas Matthysse in seven rounds to capture the WBA's secondary welterweight world title.
Now, Pacquiao makes his highly-anticipated return to the boxing capital of the world as he looks to successfully defend the title against a tough challenger.
Broner, eleven years Pacquiao's junior, is also looking to add another milestone to his already impressive resume, as the Ohio native is looking to capture his fifth world championship in as many weight divisions.
Aside from a fifth world championship, AB is also looking to break a back-to-back streak of winless bouts after losing to Mikey Garcia and then going to a draw with Jessie Vargas.
A win for Pacquiao could mean even bigger things in the future, with the rumblings being that a rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be in the works, should the Filipno boxing icon take care of business on fight night.
For Broner, a win over Pacquiao instantly becomes the biggest on his resume and he once again holds world title gold, nearly four years after his last world champioship win.
