After a massively-successful business trip, Manny Pacquiao is back home in the Philippines.

The eight-division boxing world champion and reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion and his family arrived in the Philippines Thursday evening after successfully defending his title against American challenger Adrien Broner, Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A hero's welcome awaited Pacquiao at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1.

Pacquiao flew to the United States back in late December and continued training camp at the world-famous Wild Card Boxing Gym in Los Angeles.

The week of the fight, Pacquiao and his team headed to Las Vegas and then flew back to LA immediately, a day after the successful title defense.

The 40-year old boxing icon will now have some much needed time to rest and recuperate before heading back to his other job, which is being a Senator in the Philippines.

Pacquiao revealed that there could be major news regarding a possible rematch with rival Floyd "Money" Mayweather in the coming weeks.

The two boxing stars crossed paths thrice during Pacquiao's month-long stay in the US, with the latest coming during an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center in LA.

Pacquiao said that while they didn't talk much during their interactions, the coming weeks will tell if there will be any development regarding the big-money rematch.

"Nag-say hello pa lang naman ako doon. Hindi kami nag-usap. Siguro in 1 to 2 weeks malalaman natin kung may development with Mayweather," he said via ABS-CBN News.

The eight-division titlist added that there are a number of possible and willing hosts should the rematch push through.

“Maraming may gusto ng laban na ito. Maraming bansa na nagbi-bid ng laban. Meron China, Dubai, kung sakaling matuloy ang rematch."

“ ’Yung tinitignan namin na months ng next fight either May, Cinco de Mayo or July. Kasi ’yun kasi ’yung time na wala tayong Senate, trabaho,” Pacquiao added.
