Defending champion Jerwin "Pretty Boy" Ancajas of the Philippines and challenger Ryuichi Funai of Japan both successfully made weight for their IBF Super Flyweight World Championship showdown in Stockton, California this Saturday, April 4th (April 5th, Manila time).
Ancajas (30-1-2, 20 KO), the IBF's Super Flyweight king, weighed in at 114.2-pounds.
Funai (31-7, 22 KO), the challenger and the number one-ranked IBF Super Flyweight contender, came in at 114.4-pounds.
This will be the 27-year old Ancajas' seventh defense of the IBF's 115-pound title. The Panabo, Davao-native won the title back in 2016, and has successfully retained it six times since.
Funai, 33, will be challenging for a world title for the first time in his career. The Tokyo-native is riding a seven-fight winning streak, with six coming by way of KO or TKO.
