Eight-division world champion and reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion has a different kind of motivation when he challenges undefeated reigning WBA (Super) Welterweight World Champion Keith "One Time" Thurman.

The Pinoy boxing legend is looking to be the first one to hand Thurman a loss inside the boxing ring.

The two world champions collide for the WBA's primary wolrd title on Saturday, July 20th (Sunday, July 21s, Manila time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaking to ABS-CBN's Steve Angeles, Pacquiao said that he believes Thurman will be an exciting opponent inside the ring.

"Naniniwala ako na maraming action ang magaganap, magandang laban ito dahil he promised that he will fight toe-to-toe with me in the ring," Pacquiao said.

Aside from the verbal jabs that Thurman has thrown his way, Pacquiao adds that another motivating factor for the upcoming WBA unification bout will be the fact that Thurman's record has been spotless so far.

The 30-year old Floridian has a perfect 29-0 professional record with 22 of those wins coming via knockout.

"It gives more motivation, mamo-motivate ka because he's undefeated so you have to work hard and make sure that you're in 100-percent condition, lahat gagawin mo."

When asked about what could come after the Thurman bout, the 40-year old Pacquiao maintained that his focus is solely on the task at hand.

"I don't know, just one at a time," he stated. "Let's finish this fight first, do the work, the hard work, especially in training, kailangan gawin natin lahat yun para manalo tayo,"
