Reigning WBA (Super) Welterweight World Champion Keith "One Time" Thurman has been throwing a barrage of verbal jabs at challenger and reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao since their title bout was announced a few months back.
Now that fight night is just days away, it looks like Thurman isn't planning on toning the trash talk down at all.
"It's game over, baby. I just showed up and it's game over," Thurman proclaimed during his arrival at the site of the big fight, the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. "Read the back: 'Do you want to continue?' The answer is no! There is no continuation after this, baby. It's Keith "One Time Thurman, man! I'm the real deal and Manny Pacquiao is going to feel it."
"I'm not Adrien Broner. I'm not Lucas Matthysse. I'm undefeated for a reason. I understand that he's a legend for a reason, but is his legacy greater than me? I don't think so."
Throughout the lead-up to the bout, the undefeated Thurman has expressed his confidence on multiple occassions, touching on his youth, speed, and strength as his advantages over the 40-year old Filipino boxing icon.
The 30-year old American has gone as far as putting up $10,000 for every round that he doesn't knock Pacquiao out.
And while "One Time" has definitely talked a lot, he still managed to give props by saying that he's grateful that Pacquiao was able to bring boxing to the Philippines.
"Thank you for all the love and support," Thurman addressed the Filipino fans. "If you're mad at me, you can be mad at me. If you support me, you can support me, but I'm just grateful that Manny Pacquiao has brought boxing to the Philippines."
"The Philippines is a beautiful country with beautiful people, boxing is a beautiful sport, and Manny has shown that in many fights, and I'm gonna show Manny Pacquiao and all of the Philippines what kind of champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman truly is."

For his part, Pacquiao has elected to stay away from the smack talk and has maintained that all that Thurman is doing is giving him more motivation.
