Manny Pacquiao responds to Keith Thurman's $10k-a round bet
"Thanks for the donation." - Manny Pacquiao to Keith Thurman

Reigning WBA (Super) Welterweight World Champion Keith "One Time" Thurman isn't lacking in confidence as he heads into his title defense against eight-division world champion and reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion Manny "Pacquiao" in Las Vegas this coming July 20th (July 21, Manila time).

The undefeated 30-year old so confident in his ability to put the Pinoy boxing legend away, that he has bet $10,000 a round until he knocks Pacquiao out.

"About 10K a round, that's motivation!" Thurman told TMZ Sports. "I can't go three minutes going 'tap-tap-tap' when I got 10K on the round. I gotta swing a few times, you gotta try to hit a home run."

Thurman's confidence, or arrogance as others may see it, has served as motivation for Pacquiao, and it has been said by himself and the closest to him in training camp.

Freddie Roach, for one, is happy to see Pacquiao a little ticked off.

"I like that, because he does get angry," Roach told Steve Angeles of ABS-CBN, "I do like when Manny doesn't like his opponent, because he does fight better."

As for the $10,000-a-round wager, Manny believes that Thurman is just going to give some money away.

"I wanna thank him. Thanks for the donation," he said.
