Filipino knockout artist Albert Pagara returns to action at Pinoy Pride 46 in Leyte
Filipino boxing star and reigning WBO Inter Continental Super Bantamweight Champion "Prince" Albert Pagara of Maasin, Southern Leyte makes his highly-anticipated return to the ring when he meets Thailands Ratchanon "Lucky Tor Buamas" Sawangsoda in the main event of Pinoy Pride 46 this coming Saturday, August 17th at the Ormoc City Superdome in Ormoc, Leyte.
The 25-year old Pagara (31-1, 22 KO) last saw action back in November of 2018, taking down Ghanaian George Krampah via first-round KO in Cebu. The Pinoy super bantamweight is gunning for his sixth straight win.
A former WBC-ABC Silver Super Flyweight Champion, Si Sa Ket-native Sawangsoda (12-3, 12 KO) is looking to snap a two-fight losing streak as he returns to the Philippines for the first time since 2016.
In the co-main event, reigning WBO Oriental Super Bantamweight Champion Jeo "Santino" Santisima looks to continue his hot streak when he takes on Indonesian Avius Maufani.
Riding an impressive 15-fight winning streak, Aroroy, Masbate's Santisima (17-2, 14 KO) returns to action as he tries to move even higher up the rankings.
Standing in his way is former KTI-IBC Super Featherweight Champion Maufani (6-3-2, 3 KO), who is hungry to get his hand raised in victory after going winless in his last three outings.
Also on the card, a pair of former world championship contenders head back into the ring, as former IBF Super Flyweight World Championship challenger Jonas "Zorro" Sultan faces Salatiel Amit, and former WBC Minimumweight World Championship challenger Melvin "Gringo" Jerusalem takes on Reymark Taday.
