The Azkals ended their warm-up for the AFF Suzuki Cup at home with a 3-0 win over Cambodia.
The Philippine Men's Football Team blanked Cambodia, 3 - 0, on Friday night at Rizal Memorial Stadium in their final friendly match before the start of the AFF Suzuki Cup Group Stage next week.
Daisuke Sato scored the opening goal for the Azkals in the 13th minute as the Japanese-born defender blasted a left-footed shot from 30 yards out.
Midfielder Manny Ott then followed up a deflected shot by Phil Younghusband five minutes before halftime for his first international goal and a 2-0 advantage.
In the second half, the Cambodians had a couple of chances to score, but Azkals goalkeeper Patrick Deyto managed to deny the visitors from converting.
The hosts added one more goal one minute into injury time as striker Phil Younghusband scored his 40th international goal.
The Azkals will now fly off to Hanoi, Vietnam, where they will begin their Suzuki Cup campaign in Group A against Laos on November 22.
