Find out where Azkals defender Daisuke Sato is headed for the Holidays!
2014 was a big year for 20 year old Daisuke Sato, who saw himself become a mainstay in the Philippina Azkals starting eleven.
The Davao-born Japanese-Filipino defender began his youth career with the Urawa Red Diamonds before making the Philippines Under-21 team, and then eventually the national team this year.
Now with a ton of experience following the Azkals' 2014 campaigns, Sato will surely become an even more integral part of the national team as they move forward.
Just before the holidays, ABS-CBN Sports was able to talk to Sato and ask him about his plans during the break.
How will you be spending the holidays?
I'll be going back to Japan and I'll be spending it with my family. We'll probably just be going around Japan, like to Kyoto and Nikko.
Do you have any holiday wishes?
For myself, i'd like some clothes or shoes (laughs). For the team, I don't wanna lose anymore. I hope that the Azkals, we can win the World Cup Qualifier next year.
