Reigning UAAP Men's Football MVP Paolo Bugas has suffered a torn Meniscus and ACL
Defending UAAP Men’s Football champions Far Eastern University suffered a big blow on Thursday as reigning Most Valuable Player Paolo Bugas suffered a torn meniscus and a torn ACL following their loss to University of the Philippines.
Long after their match against UP, Bugas was seen on his back and visibly in pain. The third year midfielder later confirmed on his Twitter account (@paobugas) that he had indeed suffered an ACL and meniscus tear. No timetable has been set yet for his return.
Bugas has been instrumental to the Tamaraws’ campaign this season, helping the defending champs to a four win, one draw, two loss record in the first round of action, good enough to keep them in the top four.
The Tamaraws will now go into the second round of action without the leadership and services of the reigning MVP.
