Salenga, Amita headline U-23 squad for AFC Qualifiers

The Philippine Football Federation announced on their official website last March 20 that the Philippines will be participating in the AFC U-23 2016 Championship Qualifiers this coming March 25-31, 2015.
They also revealed the 24-man squad selected to represent the country against some of Asia's best young booters. Headlining the selection are some of the best from the collegiate ranks such as Far Eastern University's Arnel Amita, National University's Paolo Salenga, and University of the Philippines' Daniel Gadia, Ian Clarino, Patxi Santos, and Ace Villanueva.
Other notable names on the list are Global FC's Curt Dizon, Richard Talaroc, and keeper revelation Jun Jun Badelic.

The qualifiers are set to take place at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with the Philippines competing in Group G along with DPR Korea, host-nation Thailand, and Cambodia.
The Philippines will first take on DPR Korea this coming Friday, March 27 at 4:00 pm. Their next games will be against Thailand on Sunday, March 29 at 4:00 pm and then against Cambodia on Sunday, March 31, at 7:00 pm.
