A 56th minute goal from Luis Suarez was enough to lift FC Barcelona against Real Mardrid last Sunday (early Monday morning, Manila time) 2-1 in the 2015 edition of their El Clasico rivalry matchup at the Estadio Camp Nou in Spain.
Barca's Jeremy Mathieu got things going early for the Catalans, scoring the opening goal 19 minutes into the match, getting a header to go in from a Lionel Messi free kick for an early advantage.
Reigning Balon D'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo however would not let Barcelona walk away with the win easily as he found the equalizer in the 31st minute from a Karim Benzema assist to even things up at 1-1 by halftime.
Suarez provided Barca's second goal of the match in the 56th mark, proving to be the game-clinching goal as they were able to hold on to the advantage and seal the victory.
With the win, Barcelona moves up to 68 points at the top of the La Liga standings, four points away from Real Madrid who comes in at second.
