After blasting Japan in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Finals, the United States national squad recieved a phone call from none other than President Barack Obama himself.

Obama congratulated the USWNT for capturing a record third World Cup and told them they "kind of took the suspense out of it."

The U.S. jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first 16 minutes powered by Carli Lloyd's hat trick.

The POTUS then invited the team to the White House to celebrate their title 16 years in the making.
