Philippine Azkals team captain Phil Younghusband will miss their match against Yemen due to a suspension
After a three-game stretch that saw them come away with a draw and a couple of losses, the Philippine Azkals will be looking to bounce back when they take on Yemen on Thursday, November 12th at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila, but they’ll be doing it without team captain Phil Younghusband.
Younghusband will be sitting out due to a suspension after getting called for yellow cards in the Uzbekistan and Bahrain matches.
This will be the last World Cup Qualifiers assignment for the Azkals this year, as they look to get their third win in six games. The Azkals round out their group stage campaign on March 2016 against Uzbekistan in Tashkent and against North Korea here at home.
The Azkals currently sit at third in Group H with two wins, a draw, and two losses for seven points. Still leading the pack is North Korea with four wins and a draw for 13 points, followed by Uzbekistan with three wins and a loss for nine points.
Rounding out the group is Bahrain with two wins and three losses for six points and Yemen with five losses and zero points.
