"Schroecky" will be joining the defending UFL champions
“The Pride of Negros” has a big name coming onboard, as Ceres-La Salle F.C. welcome long-time national team member and fan-favorite Stephan Schrock to their roster.
The Bacolod-based football club, who recently just recently snagged the top prize in Division I of the United Football League (UFL), announced the signing Thursday afternoon, much to the delight of the club’s fans, as well as fans of Filipino football in general.
According to the club, Schrock will be helping the defending champs for their upcoming UFL campaigns, but more importantly their AFC Cup campaign, which begins on February 23, right at home in Bacolod.
Up until now, the 29-year old Filipino-German Schrock has spent his club career in Germany, suiting up for most of his playing years with Furth-based 2. Bundesliga club, SpVgg Greuther Furth.
In Ceres, Schrock will be joining Azkals teammates Manny Ott, Paul Mulders, Martin Steuble, Patrick Reichelt, and Ceres team captain Juani Guirado.
