A second half goal from Trinity Wambolt was all that was needed to propel the Philippine Girls Under-14 National Team past Cambodia and into the AFC Girls Under-14 Regional Championship Semifinals.

Wambolt scored in the 44th minute, and the Cambodian side had no response, giving the Pinay girls the win and helping them finish second in Group A with seven points in three matches. Thailand secured the top spot also with seven points and the goal difference advantage.

Myanmar and Vietnam finshed first and second in Group B, respectively to complete the semifinals cast.

The Philippines will take on Myanmar in the semis, while Thailand meets Vietnam, both matches scheduled for Saturday, June 4.

Should the Philippines get past Myanmar, who also finished with seven points, they clinch a spot in the finals, scheduled for Sunday, June 5.

Congratulations, and best of luck to the Philippine Girls U-14 team! Laban Pilipinas!
