Azkals move up nine spots in FIFA rankings
Misagh Bahadoran and the Philippine Azkals move up nine spots in the latest FIFA Rankings.

The Philippine Azkals moved up to 125th place in the most recent FIFA World Football rankings, released earlier this week. 

The rise in rank comes after the Azkals defeated 108th-ranked Kyrgystan, 2-1, a few weeks ago.

The Philippine side regains the top spot in Southeast Asia, surpassing Thailand, who dropped fifteen places to 135th, and Vietnam who fell three sports to 141st. 

In the AFC, the Phililppines occupy the 17th spot, while Iran sits at the top. Australia, Korea Republic, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia complete the top-five, while Japan slips out after dropping seven places to 56th. 

The Azkals are about to get a lot busier as they prepare for upcoming friendly matches, as well as the AFF Suzuki Cup starting late November.
