Azkals host Bahrain in International Friendly
The last time that the Azkals hosted Bahrain, they were victorious, 2-1 in the group stage of the World Cup Qualifiers. Can they defend home turf once again?

The Philippine men's national football team looks to continue building momentum ahead of the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup when they take on Bahrain in an international friendly match, Friday evening at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.

Coming off a win against higher-ranked Krygyzstan in early September, the Azkals hope to be able to get a winning streak going in their remaining international friendlies leading up to the start of the Suzuki Cup in mid-November.

The Azkals will be playing without the services of first-string keeper Neil Etheridge, who will also be missing the entire Suzuki Cup due to club duties, as well a number of regulars such as Stephan Palla, Javier Patiño, Daisuke Sato, Patrick Reichelt, and Simone Rota. They will however welcome back Stephan Schrock.

The last time that the two sides met, it was in the group stage of the World Cup Qualifiers, with Bahrain getting the win at home.
