Azkals look to bounce back against Indonesia
Phil Younghusband and Philippine Azkals need to get a win against Indonesia to better their chances of advancing to the next round of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup

The Philippine Azkals try to get their first win of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup when the face off against Indonesia, Tuesday evening at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Unable to capitalize on opportunities which ultimately led to figuring in a scoreless draw against Singapore in their Suzuki Cup opener last Saturday, the Azkals now find themselves in what head coach Thomas Dooley calls a "must win" situation, against the an Indonesian squad who's also determined to come out with a win.

"Even if we lost to Singapore, even if we won against Singapore we still have to beat Indonesia to get to the next round, for sure." Dooley said.

A win against Indonesia will not only give the Philippines the all-important three points, but will also give them momentum as they get set to close out the group stages against powehouse Thailand on Friday.

The Indonesian side on the other hand, suffered their first loss on their tournament opener against defending champions Thailand, 4-2. Another loss would certainly eliminate the 2010 finalists from this year's tournament.

Before the Azkals and Indonesia hit the pitch, Thailand will try to get their second straight win when they take on Singapore.
