A pair of Pinoy football put on dominant performances, as Ceres-Negros FC and Global FC both scored big wins in matchday two of the 2017 AFC Cup, Tuesday evening.

Over at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod, home team Ceres-Negros FC hosted and dismantled Singapore's Tampines Rovers, 5-0.

Azkal Iain Ramsay wasted no time in getting Ceres-Negros on the board, scoring in the first minute, while fellow national team member Manny Ott and Fernando Rodriguez both chipped in goals of their own in the 38th and 72nd minutes respectively.

The star of the match however, was Spanish forward Bienvenido Marañon, who finished the match with a brace, converting in the 24th and 64th marks to keep the match away from Tampines Rovers' reach.

The Bacolod-based club moves to the top of Group G with a win and a draw for four points. More importantly, they gain momentum as they head into their third match of the Group Stage when they host Malaysia's Felda United FC on March 15th. Felda United will be heading into that matchup off a 1-1 draw with Hanoi FC.

Over at Phnom Penh, another Azkal call-up took over, as Paul Mulders scored a brace of his own to lead Global FC to a 2-0 win over Beoungket Angkor FC.

Mulders struck early for the 'People's Club' as well, hitting five minutes into the matchup, before ultimately breaking Beoungket Angkor's backs with another goal in the 65th minute for the game-deciding brace.

Global also make their way to the top of Group F after starting the AFC Cup with two wins and six points.

Up next for the last UFL champs will be a date with Malaysian powerhouse Johor Darul Ta'zim, who have managed a win and a draw for four points so far in the tournament.

Global will head to enemy territory for that matchup, as they fly to Johor Baru for the March 14 game.
