Filipino football club Ceres-Negros FC went into enemy territory Tuesday evening and fell short against Malaysian club Felda United, 0-3, at the Shah Alam Stadium in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

The home team struck early, with Mohd Syahid Zaidon scoring just five minutes into the match.

With a manageable one-goal deficit, the Pinoy side attempted to get to level, but instead it was Felda who managed to convert again in the second half, with Hadin Azman scoring in the 66th mark.

Eleven minutes later, Fazrul Hazli Kadri sealed the deal for the home team, scoring their third goal of the match.

The loss has put Ceres-Negros FC at level with Felda United for second place, both with one win, two draws, and one loss for five points each.

Next up for the Bacolod-based club is a second-leg matchup with group-leading Ha Noi FC. Their first encounter figured in a 1-1 draw.
