Philippines U-15 clinch semis berth in AFF girls c'ship
The Philippine U15 Girls national team has secured a spot in the 2017 AFF U15 Girls Championships in Laos.

The Philippine Under-15 girls national team has secured a spot in the 2017 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U15 Girls Championship in Vientiane, Laos, after scoring two straight victories. 

The girls opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Indonesia, Tuesday, led by Viviana Cera and Katelyn Alexander, who scored in the 20th and 33rd minutes respectively. 

Two days later, the U-15 Filipinas turned in a more dominant performance, blasting Cambodia to the tune of 3-0. 

Alexander was on the scoresheets once again, hitting in the 14th minute, followed by conversions from Maria Lazo in the 40th minute and Anya Lazo in the 66th mark. 

The Philippines currently sit at the top of Group B with six points on two wins. They close out the group stage against Singapore on Saturday, May 13th. 

The semifinals begin on Wednesday, May 17th.
