Azkals resume Asian Cup Qualifiers against Tajikistan
Manny Ott and Phil Younghusband try to steer the Azkals to their second win in the third round of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Following a tough outing against China last week, the Philippine men's national football team will try to bounce back and remain unbeaten in the third round of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers when they take on Tajikisan in Dushanbe, Tuesday.

Kickoff time will be at 12:00 MN, June 14th, Manila time.

The sidetrip to China resulted in an 8-1 loss, but the Azkals have had time to regroup and get a win in a match with more important stakes on the line.

Coming from a 4-1 win over Nepal back in March, the Pinoy side has a chance to improve to two wins and six points while holding on to the lead in Group F.

Tajikistan on the other hand, is coming off a 2-1 loss to Yemen.

There isn't much history between these two sides, as their only two meetings have both ended in scoreless draws, most recently in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup.

The Azkals will be a bit shorthanded heading into Dushanbe however, as they've lost the services of Jeffrey Christiaens and Hikaru Minegishi afther the two sustained injuries in their friendly against China.
