Phil Younghusband and the Philippine Azkals make their return to the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod to take on Yemen as their 2019 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers third round campaign continues.
The Philippine men's national football team will look to remain unbeaten in their AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers third round campaign when they take on Yemen at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod on Tuesday, September 5th.
Successful in their first two outings against Nepal and Tajikistan, the Azkals have placed themselves on top of Group F with six points, and will look to create even more distance against second-seeded Yemen.
Leading the charge for the Pinoy side will be skipper Phil Younghusband, who has managed to find the back of the net thrice in their last two outings.
It will be the first time in four years that the historic Panaad pitch will host an international matchup, the last being the PFF Peace Cup back in 2013.
The Pinoy side will be looking for a bit of retribution against the Yemeni squad, as their last meeting went in favor of the visitors back in 2015. In two matches against Yemen, the Azkals have gone 1-1, and are looking to take the driver's seat in their head-to-head series.
A win over the visiting Yemeni squad will be crucial, as they are set to embark on a two-match roadtrip following their Panaad homestand.
Kickoff time will be at 7:30 PM.
