Team Captain Phil Younghusband scored international goal number 51.
90 minutes and seven minutes of added injury time wasn't enough to determine a winner, as the Philippine Azkals and the Bahrain National Team battled to a 1-1 draw in their international friendly match, Thursday evening at the National Stadium in Bahrain.
After a scoreless first half of action, it was the Pinoy side that got on the board first, courtesy of skipper Phil Younghusband's 51st international goal.
Younghusband absorbed a foul inside the box in the 48th minute, setting up a penalty kick.
Much like how he scored goal number 50 back in March to ice their spot in the AFC Asian Cup, Younghusband calmly sank the penalty for a 1-0 at the 49-minute mark.
The visitors held on to the lead and appeared to be moments away from leaving Bahrain with a W.
Sayed Adnan had other plans however, as he found the equalizer in the final minute of stoppage time to hold the Azkals to a 1-1 draw.
This will just be the second draw in the Azkals and Bahrain's last six meetings.
The friendly marks the coaching debut of Scott Cooper, who takes over following the sudden departure of Terry Butcher.
The Azkals now turn their attention to the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup which begins in November.
