Azkals blow past Laos in Bangabandhu Gold Cup opener

Misagh Bahadoran was one of three Azkals to score in their 3-1 win over Laos.
Three different players scored as the Philippine Azkals blasted past Laos, 3-1, Wednesday evening at the Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Jovin Bedic opened the scoring in the 44th minute after sending in a penalty attempt following a foul inside the box.
Early in the second half, Jarvey Gayoso scored his first goal as a Philippine Azkal with a 53rd minute header to double the Filipino side's lead.
Azkals Veteran Misagh Bahadoran put the match on ice with another penalty in the 82nd minute to make it a three-goal advantage.
Laos managed to pull one back with a penalty kick of their own in the last minute.
With the win, the Azkals earn three points and clich a semifinals berth.
The Azkals and host nation Bangladesh close out the group stage on Friday, October 5th with the top spot in Group B at on the line.
