The Philippine Women's National Football closed out the 2020 Women's Olympic Football Qualifiers with a 0-5 loss to Chinese Taipei at the Hisor Stadium in Tajikistan, Tuesday afternoon Manila time.
Chinese Taipei dominated the match from start to finish to secure the top spot in Group A with 12 points on four wins.
The ladies from Chinese Taipei had been on a rampage all tournament long, winning by an average of nine goals in their first three matches.
The five-goal win is the lowest scoring output for Chinese Taipei so far in the tournament.
The Philippines, who had been splendid all tournament long as well, finishes second in the group with nine points on three wins.
The second-place finish in Group A was enough to earn the Philippines a spot in the second round of the Olympic Qualifiers which is set to begin on April 2019.
