Philippines overwhelms Palestine to close out Olympic Qualifiers

The Philippine Women's National Football Team closed the 2020 AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament on a high note after defeating Palestine, 7-0, Tuesday at the Saoud Bin Abdulraman Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar.
Joyce Semacio opened things up with a penalty kick conversion in the 17th minute, before Alisha Del Campo doubled the Filipinas' lead in the 29th minute.
Eva Madarang made it a 3-0 lead just a minute later, and then picked up where she left off in the second half, scoring her second goal of the match in the 60th minute to make it a commanding 4-0 advantage.
Patricia Impelido added a goal of her own in the 62nd minute, before Sara Castañeda closed out the show with a brace of her own in the 66th and 70th minutes.
The Philippines finishes the tournament with two wins and a loss for six points, good for second place.
Advancing into the third round from Group C will be Chinese-Taipei, who finished with three wins in three matches for 9 points.
