It has been six years since Super Typhoon Yolanda struck, severely affecting many areas in the Philippines, especially Tacloban.
And while slowly and surely, the city is getting back on their feet, the outpouring of support from all over the world continues to this day.
Among those that have reached out and lent a helping hand is Japanese football star Shinji Kagawa.
The 30-year old Kagawa has been a Japanese National Team mainstay since 2008, and is currently playing with Turkish football club Beksitas, on loan from German club team Borussia Dortmund.
In partnership with Common Goal, a non-profit organization that links up with the football community, Kagawa has been helping Tacloban out since 2017 by providing educational support for children and environmental support for sports programs.
Kagawa is currently in Tacloban, visiting schools and facilities.
