The Philippine Men's National Football Team will try to get back on track in the second round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Tournament when they take on Guam, Tuesday afternoon at the Guam F.A. National Training Center in Dededo.
The Azkals are coming off a 5-2 loss to Syria in their second round opener at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod, Thursday.
Javi Patiño had the Pinoy side off to a good start against Syria, but wound up falling apart during the remainder of the match en route to the loss.
Now, the Azkals look to bounce back against a lower-ranked team in Guam, who are also looking to bounce back after a 1-0 loss to Maldives last Thursday.
History appears to be on the side of the Azkals, as they have been successful agaisnt Guam in each of their three previous meetings.
The first encounter between the Philippines and Guam was back in 2000, with the Pinoy side taking a 2-0 win.
The two sides would meet again twice in a pair of international friendlies in 2012, with the Philippines winning 3-0 and 1-0.
Kickoff time will be at 1:30 PM, Manila time.
