Luna, according to Tiebreaker Times, suffered from Arteriovenous Malformation or AVM, which was described as “an abnormal tangle of blood vessels connecting arteries and veins, which disrupts normal blood flow and oxygen circulation”.
The Baguio City-native represented the Philippines as a member of the U-15 Women's National Football Team. She was part of the 2019 team that finished fourth in the AFF U15 Girls' Championship in Chonburi, Thailand.
Members of the Philippine football community, including The Philippine Football Federation, shared their messages of condolences and support to Luna's family and friends.
"The PFF extends its condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Luna and request the football community to pray for the eternal repose of her soul," the PFF wrote in their official statement.
