Sharapova still top-earning female athlete

World number one Serena Williams may dominate rival Maria Sharapova on the court but in terms of earnings, the Russian star stands above all.
Sharapova is still the highest-paid femake athlete for 2015 according to Forbes based from figures between June 2014 and June 2015.
The world number two is at the top spot for the 11th straight year after earning a total of $29.7 million.
Sharapova earned $6.7 million from prize money including her second French Open title in 2014.
The other $23 million came from her endorsements with partners like Nike, Head, Avon, Porsche, Tag Heuer and Evian.
Williams comes in at number two with $24.6 million with almost half coming from prize money.
The American star recently completed her second career "Serena Slam" after winning Wimbledon a couple of months back, her 21st Grand Slam title.
Caroline Wozniacki came in at third with $14.6 million while Danica Patrick is the only non-tennis player in the top five with $13.9 million.
Ana Ivanovic ($8.3 million), Petra Kvitova ($7.7 million), Simona Halep ($6.8 million), UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey ($6.5 million), golfer Stacy Lewis ($6.4 million) and 2012 Wimbledon champion Agnieszka Radwanska ($6 million) round out the top ten.
